actually bristle worms, fire worms do not harm any living corals or fishes.

they are usually the 1st one to react to feed on a dead tissue. that's why they are

always blamed for killing something.

if u still don;t like them, try this. i had boxers shrimps that wipe out hunderds of worms b4.

hi there bro,

my system had an unwanted resident bristle worm a while back, and when i finally managed to extract it, it measured 9 inches in length, which is amazing i think. anyhows, i'm not sure if this will help you, but this is what i did to catch the worm.

basically, bristle worms tend to stay within a single rock structure. once theyve found a hole they feel safe in, they stay there. thing is, when i removed the rock, nothing i poked in its hole got close to reaching it, plus if it did, it would only have injured the worm but not remove it, so i took a spare bottle of Aquaz Iodine, and using a syringe, squirted several syringes worth of iodine down its hole. as i placed the rock in a basin, i used the syringe to recycle the iodine that collected in the basin and did this for about six to seven times, after which i realised the worm had craweled out and was writhing on the floor of the basin. i then rinsed the rock and returned it to my tank. quite effective i think. and the worm didnt die some more.

well, maybe you can try that ya.

cheers.,

ian
