btw jervis ... i put my 2 fishies into a QT ! will leave them there until stable ... at least a week i guess ... its a small 1 footer tank .. :lol:

Wah so pro... got Q Tank some more :lol: But make sure the water condition of that small tank is optimum... or else your fishes will be weaken by your Q process. Can show a pix of your Q Tank setup?

after so long, i finally understood the concept of scaping. which is not to use too many smaller sized rocks. meaning 1-2kg types. for 3 footers. should be using more 4kg type rocks as they are much easier to scape, looks more natural and provides way more stable platform to put the corals on.

of course, its juz my lousy opinion. MLO. haha.. :)

Yes bro Colin, when it comes to scaping... must use BIG pieces of rock... I think so far (within our small group), bro Cherms scaping impressed me most. That's what I call a "proper" scaping and hopefully mine will be something like that too :)

hey guys ... got home real late today ... so no pics of the QT yet ... i promise tml it will be up ...

i need a new skimmer!! i got a prizm recently ...

but the water level in my sump is too low ...

and the stupid euro-brace on my tank is too wide ... and the hang on of the prizm is too small ... i cant use it !!! argghhh .... anyone has a macro AS150 / 250 for sale ? im willing to swop a 250 for my prizm ....

But this scaping will allow more room for corals... for practicality sake... I will vote for this one :D

the smallest i have come across is the AA brand 6w UV with built-in pump. Cost me 50, wasted i just sold mine for 25 lastweek and bought the twister UV thats 18w for my main tank. The AA one is very slim and small in width so its very suitable for your small qt tank.

That's a very good idea... I've seen those submersible in-tank UV... I think JBJ is launching one :D

so what is a good guide that my fish is ready for the main tank ? my bt is feeding ... but i feel the lack of hiding spaces is stressing it out .. my sailfin isnt feeding yet .. i haven been home for a day and im not sure of the condition now..

tanks for the advise on the UV.. might invest in one later on ..
