I am trying to set up a 2 ft tank with most of the hardware coming from yahoo auction, Sgreef sale, and of course some need to be purchase from shops.

This is the first time I am posting picture, therefore not sure if it can turn out. Hope to get feedback and advice on improvement but please don't recommend spending $$$$

This tank is almost a month into the cycle and one of the damsel is more than 3 weeks old in this tank.

I recently got this Weipro 2012 skimmer but not sure how to adjust it. Should I see foam immediately or it will take couple of days?

Meanwhile, sit back and enjoy it.

Welcome!!!

Oh yeah... skimmate... my fav  Yes, the skimmer will take 2 to 3 days to kick-in, the best way is not to touch the skimmer (no tuning)... let it run for 2 days and see how. Pix will definitely give us a better picture of your setup and to share with us your proud setup.

Haha... it's kinda upfront for you to mention "please do not recommend me spend $$$"... but if your setup is incomplete... spending money along the way is inevitable :) This hobby is a "bottomless pithole" unfortunately :( The rich will have larger pithole... the "not-so-rich" will have a smaller pithole... no one escapes without damage :lol::lol:

But it's well worth it
