first u need to know whether ur cycle has been kicked off or not?

if so , u'll have ammonia spike, No2 spike and No3 spike during different stages of cycling.

when the time u get ammonia,no2,no3 = 0 , this considered ur cycling has completed.

not necessary ur nitrate must be 0.

as long as ur ammonia and nitrite is 0 after the spike should be okie le.

with that u must have good testkit to comfirm whether ur cycling is over

my water is yellowish at first and smelly last week... then some worms came out.. then last night nitrate was high... this evening i check again nitrate is almost 0 and nitrite almost 0 too... ammonia not check yet. total cycle period is abt 1.5 weeks til date. i add a lot of bacteria starter, but is it possible cycling is done up within this 1.5 weeks already

1 and a half weeks seem rather short, however it could be that the dosing of the bacteria starter helped alot.

are you using a dsb or de-nitrator ? seems queer that even nitrate can drop.

the way to test is to add an ammonia source again, either pure ammonia or decaying matter, if ammonia and no2 is 0 then cycle is complete, can do big water change and

stock up fish at 1 fish per week.

hi bro.. i am not using a denitritor or dsb... but one thing for sure is a add a lot of bacteria starter, almost 2 bottles... beside adding ammonia again.. any other choice...?

Its kind of impossible for nitrates to drop that fast if you ask me

Nitrate = <1mg/litre

Nitrite = 0.1mg/Litre

KH = 5dKH

Mag = 1140ppm

Sg = 1.019

is it normal

Try increasing your S.G. to 1.025

I'd wait about another week or two if I were you. Just to let everything stabilise and run smoothly
