Strip trigger kills other fishes

Just got a 3" strip trigeger(undulated) from another fellow forumer. I had a niger trigger abt 5" and bicolor angel + 5" blue tang in a 3 ft tank. They have been living together for the last 6 mths. I know triggers are aggressive but I thught since this is the smallest of all the current tank mates, it should be OK

I brought it into my tank at abt 10am, watch them for a while, no problem. left at 12pm to go out, when I came back at 5pm, both my 5" trigger and bicolor angel were dead, and blue tang lying around grasping for breath. The small trigger looks the same and harmless, swimming around slowly, it really give me a shock

anyone has green body with orange stripes trigger before? the other name is undulated. is it that aggressive?

how do i treat my injured BT now?

Tot trigger has sharp tooth that need constant grinding down. If they really chose to nib on something, nottin much u can do, but try feeling them more and pray...

u check with the previous reefer if this trigger does severe damage?

personally i kept undulate triggers before, its super duper hardy btw. Havent seen one touching my fishes yet. Even my black line trigger which i kept for 9-10 months is still peaceful despite growing in size.

undulate trigger are one of the most aggressive trigger that you dont wanna keep. JMO

my niger trigger though 6" big , never kill any of my fishes before. it does attack them once in a while. I did not see the murder taken place with my own eyes as the strip trigger always behave himself infront of me. it always look harmless but I cant explain why my fishes died immeditealy after bringing in the strip triger and they all died from injuries from fighting with others. it really puzzle me that it can attack bigger fishes and it does not have any injuries to itself at all

undulate triggers are, if not one the most aggressive fish avaliable to us aquarists.

anyone know of a more aggressive fish?

I've kept an undulate before... to say that they are hardy is an understatement.. Undulate triggers are practically indestructible.

Balistapus undulatus...Even though he's a beauty, this guy has the reputation of being the most aggressive triggerfish! Which means the Undulate Triggerfish or Orange-lined Triggerfish may be the most aggressive fish, period! Actually they are okay when they are small, but get cantankerous as they get older.
