cateye bubble

hi,i juz got a small piece of cat eyebubble last sunday,but my concern is will the coral grow bigger or it will stay the same through out the year?

They do expand to double or more of their size once in a while but for the skeleton to grow significantly, you must feed it regularly and even with that the growth might not be that obvious. Generally, LPS don't show as much change in volume as SPS.

Feed it regularly, and you'll be amazed. Mine was just the size of a tiny rock, but after feeding the bubble has doubled in size although the rock has remain the same.

I don't know if you can tell the difference....this was the size of it when i first got it. Barely 'reaching' away from the skeletal structure....

some time mine bubble also behave this way......

I feed my bubble almost everyday... but it did not grow very significiantly

pretty misleading.. I saw the white stripe of the clown also pinkish..

sorry wat do i feed it? market prawns? but i dont seems to see any mouth on it?

and is there a difference between cateye bubble and normal bubble coral? cos i got both but they look so different i mean the size of the bubbles..

Mine is normal bubble. Cateye bubble has a "white line" across its fully-opened bubbles. Else, it will be consider "Normal" bubble.

I would say it is hardy, as it is a filter-feeding coral. Therefore, you MUST have a good water to maintain it, as it uses it "sweeper tenticles" to "catch" anything that is in the water. I feed my filter-feeding corals with DTlive as well as some other coral food every other day. Notice that they only starts their feeding after lights off.

i got other kind of bubble corals got them much cheaper than the cat eye bubble(the 1 that is bloated up like a big marble).those other kind i mention are much smaller and lots of bubble likes..

anyway i got my bubble from pasir ris farmway 1,looks like a new farm its located opposite tropical marine.

got it for $35

The colour of the bubble is whitish with green tint.

Misleading? do i have a reason to mislead anyone in anyway?
