salt SPRAY ..

yoZ~ .. my tank doesnt have a hood ... same goes for my sump.. and the rate of my salt spray is incredibly high .. my tank is 3 feet by 1 1/2 by 1 1/2. water is filled leaving 1.5 inches from the edge of the glass.. the sump is a 2 feet tank only 1/4 filled..

my fish tank is basically sandwiched between my study table and my cupboard.. i would have to clean the surface of the cupboard everyother day.. same goes to the floor below the tank. i am basically using a caste iron stand.. i have a dymax 1200L/hr pump plance quite near the surface to create the " ripple" effect when i on the lights and for circuilation there are no splashing of water..

any ways to reduce the salt spray ? or better still eliminate the salt spray

are u using an air stone or something ?

where is the salt spray occuring at ? the splashing usually is the main cause of it

If you have euro bracing, can consider getting a piece of acrylic plastic to place on top the area where the spray occur. In that way, just need to clean the plastic every now and then.

i am not using any air stone ... juz pumps which cause little little ripples on the surface of the water .. pretty jialat leh .. my lights all kanna .. haiz ..
