Learnt from a webby that the above 2 are efficient brown algae(diatom) eater.

They also have online ordering but too bad i don't own a credit card thus anyone want to make a bulk order for it?

Please pm me for the address of the webby and maybe get some orders up? :thanks:

Don't know about the Cerith but you can find Nerite on the breakwater around Singapore.

The disadvantage with nerite is that they don't stay in the tank for long......they love to wander about the room

If you cannot find them and put them back in to the tank........your house/room is going to stink like hell.

Hey thanks Morgan for your input. If I'm not wrong, Those Nerite Snail which we find at our local breakwaters have black and white stripe on their shell instead of brownish as shown in the attach picture.

Are they of the same kind?

The colours and pattern of their shells vary from specimen to specimen. There are even red/rust coloured ones without the stripes. So to judge them base on just stripe is not a good way to differentiate them.

So can i conclude that those on our local breakwaters are also Nerite Snail too??

If so, i may make a trip down to get 2-3 for my tank. 40% of my sand have been covered with diatom.
