anyone keeping this fish ?

i tried 3 times keeping this fish but thay cannot survive more than 4 days

all bought from same lfs

i suspect cyanide collected fish.....

anyone keep this fish for long period ? may i know where u get it from..

i do not want to give up keeping this fish as it is 1 of my favourite fish.

as far as my tank is concern parameters are acceptable and been running over a year already....and fishes in my tank are several butterflies , moorish idol , clowns and cardinals...

if these fishes can survive why not the tuskfish ?? i understand they are relatively easy to keep.

I had experienced the same problem, mine survived for a few weeks and it was eating, two died on me. I guess it is the collection using cynide, esp from the Philippines, based on my research.

I got mine form Henry, ML.

4" still with the juvenile spots on it. Beautiful specimen.

Doing fine and healthy.

Bought mine from Pacific Marine for more than a week. Eating anything from market prawn to flakes .... keeping my fingers cross.

Had mine for a month already from Ah Beng. Feeding on pellets and meaty food like squid, prawns. It looks menacing but very timid - it gets harrassed even by smaller damsels and angels. Let it acclimatized and it should be ok unless of course it's cyanide prob. Good luck
