Hi, the rotating portion is circled in BLUE. Yes, you can shorten the length of the extension juz like a socket-joint.

connect it to your return pump outlet. it dont create wave on its own but more of like erm creating a more optimal wave for your return.

pretty good in creating circulation for your tank. I have bought one in HK with just one rotation head connected directly to my pump oulet.. as long as your pump has enough power to drive the head.. it will turn 360 degree creating different flow around the tank.

Hi, flowrate shouldn't be a problem because of the turning effect.

U can see the item in action at Jireh main tank.

As u see the tip has a cresent opening. So water comes out & the head keeps turning & turning.

It's not a bad device actually ....practical but of course cannot match those power heads/wave makers....Serve its purpose of circulating water around your tank without having to hook up another electrical equipment........ and I am running them with my iwaki pump. Incidentally I removed the modular loc lines and connected both rotating heads direct to the pvc return lines.
