Hey dominik,

Red slime is typically cause by water parameters. Presence of phosphates and nitrates would add to the problem. For immediate solution, there is a powder called Red Slime Remover that does the job well and fast.

For longer term solution, keep water parameters good, and if poss, use RO/DI water and run a phospate remover (eg. Rowaphos).
