2 hrs shouldn't be a problem right?

I had that last week.. some HDB electrical maintainence. I didn't bother. :P.. Everything starts by it self once power is back on.

Then again I do not have any SPS. Only LPS, softies and many fishes and inverts.

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?

Neither do I have SPS. Just Fishes with lots of Zoas.

Was afraid that they'll suffer if the electricity don't return in time.

few hrs should be ok. Serious.. Mine have had down time of like 8 hrs before and nothing happens.. someone forgot and off the main switch  ..

Besides the HDB electrical maintainence probably would be less than 2hr.. as for my case.

neokn, you could lower the temp just before the shut down, thats slows down the metabolism and also allows O2 to be retained in the water for a longer period. Keep the tank room fully ventilated. 2 to 3 hrs, should be ok. Watch for signs of stress, like excessive slimming from the corals... If any goes first, it'll would be the fishes as they require the most O2. So keep it cold and dark and that prevents activity. Maybe even standby a battery operated air pump.
