When my MH is off, the cleaner shrimp like to disturb the Clam(Corsia) so much so that it shut it self up, will the shrimp do any harm? The clam is in my tank for 2 days. Thanks in advance.

i had a few clams before together with a cleaner shrimp

the shrimp will leave the clams alone totally

however i found that when my clam was dying(gaping) the shrimp

would be all over it, this happened more than twice so i see a pattern

i believe that my shrimp had nothing to do with my clams untimely passing

rather, the shrimp started to sense or smell that the clam was dying thus it was

its nature to "clean up" ;)

I also encounter the same incident. Cleaner shrimps will only start bothering the clam when they detect that the clam is not doing well. I have encountered incidents where my clam uplorry a few days after the cleaner shrimp episode.

IMO, the cleaner shrimps do not contribute directly to the death of the clam.

Cheers
