IMO....bare bottom...im using it now...n i can sae tt the results are better than before....

i hav a 1+ inch sandbed b4 tt...

Depends on what you like to keep. E.g Some fish will require sand. How big is it gonna be?

some LPS like pratas, plate will prefer to hv sandy substrate..

anyway, imo , if 1 inch sandbed compared to bb, i'll go for bb

come to tink of it...the 1 inch sandbed dosent help in anything only for nice nice...den rite..in the end only trap those detritus....den later the sandbed dirty.....nitrates and phosphate will be hard to control by then....unless u can siphon those dirty particles up...

there will sure be some dead spots in every tank...so bare bottom will be a gd choice...

pratas will hav absolutely no problem living on top of LRs..
