Looking to part with my trusty RM Beckett which has served me well for close to a year (about 9 months i think) Anyways...note that this the newer model (not the box type below) and is the 27inch height model (more bubble contact time) and I'm looking at $300 for both the Beckett and a Rio 20HF. Here's a pic of the skimmer... Thanks Yep...in fact the picture is of the skimmer in my sump...i guess it's not very clear. Actually, the picture was taking when the tank was cycling and the bubbling was more excessive then....now there really isn't much of an issue with micro bubbles mainly cos of the way my sump is designed but also cos the tank has settled and there isn't excessive bubbling in the sump compartment anymore.... If need be you can work something out with the plumbing/piping to try and reduce micro bubbles but for the most part, all skimmers have some form of micro bubble issue at the outlet....
