For me... I'll probably go for a tank builder with an office/showroom/shop that I can visit anytime... I've heard several cases where it's very hard to find tank makers to rectify problems once you fully paid them... if they own a shop... at least I know where to find them :lol:

A few of our LFS sponsors also provide this service... they may outsource... but at least you have buffer in between :)

Thanks for the info.

My current tank was made by Octo. But think he MIA. Some issues with Reefers / Shops. I just got an EA in Sengkang so planning a new tank. Either another 5ft or a 6ft. Probably a 5ft height 2ft and depth 2.5.

Since last tank make un contactable. so looking for new one.Thus am looking for a new tank maker.

Any recommendations / suggestion would be appreciated. Thanks

Which part of sengkang do u stay? I stay in sengkang area too and I usually take LRT to AM! :)

i recommend Gerald. . . After a couple of interactions with Gerald, i feel very confident in letting him handle my 6x2.5x2.5 feet tank project. extremely pleasant and friendly guy, and most imptly honest. :)

I been away from forum for quite a while. Gonna move in to my New Flat and appreciate if bros here can recommend a good tank builder. Cos out of the sence for a while liao. Thanks... :)

try Marine pets at odeon katong, gilbert 63480007,

reasonable price compare to others, i make my tank since i started marine from 3 x 2 x2, 4x2x2.5, 6x2x2.5 and currently 7x3x2.5 all by him, good quality and he will make sure everythings all right. No harm get quotation from him and then compare.

bro suggest u do abit of research on complete structural 1st......imo better to have a quality tank although it might cost abit more....mayb some examples: types of glass, thickness, top&bottom brace or fully brace, cabinet structure n types of woods, piping(glued or threaded), etc etc......

then list down & design ur own complete tank if possible,then ask quotation to the abv tank maker tat our bros had mention.....gd luck ya ;)

Juz to check which tank builder does design nice cabinet other than the regular square design...

What I meant actually is that if I build a octagon tank, can they build the cabinet the way I want in odd shape and materials other than juz wood?

Hi, you can give a call to local Tank_Maker Gerald to discuss about your Cabinet Setup.. Shouldnt be a problem..
