just saw some eating tissue paper today in LFs

ok... forgive me if i din noe that donkey dung is 'another name' for sea cucumber... i mean... donkey dung=sea cucumber??... but what the heck is 'tissue paper'...? :blink:

Terrestrial plants are not as nutritious as marine algae.

I hope you boiled your vegetables before feeding because if you don't, no way your fishes can get much nutrition due to the undigestable high cellulose content. Blanching your veges in boiling hot water will break down the cellulose.

You are better off feeding nori or some other marine seaweed/algae... the nutritional values of nori are extremely high.

Try Ocean Nutrition Formula Two flakes... my powder blue tang and my mimic tang loves it! Come to think of it... they eat EVERYTHING I throw into my tank.. :D

Alternatively, you can certainly try Ulva.

My Tangs feed voraciously on those thrown into the tank, it should suffice for their strict herbivore diet.

Ocassionally, some stray strands gets shredded by the return pump on its way up from the refugium and sends the fishes in a frenzy :)
