Cheap wavemakers. Can these be used in SG?

IMO not worth investing (and risking your powerheads)... if you are to use normal powerheads/pumps to create on/off effect within short intervals... u will risk spoiling the pumps... even German made pumps (except those specially made wavemakers) cannot last long. If China made... better stock at least 4 of them at home for replacement.

I think if u gonna regulate the pumps base on hour basis, then maybe still not that bad. But if u wanna regulate the pump base on mins or even second, then the pump gonna burn easily!!!

That's why those controllable wave maker are using DC instead of AC pump!

Any needle wheel pumps to recommend? I want to replace my macro as150 stock needle wheel pump.

Maybe look around in US & c if it's cheaper here.

Thanks.

Hi saw yr tank specs.

U are running a OR 2500 pump. Is that a needle wheel pump? Or do u need to install a impeller?

Thanks.

It's a needle wheel... Aquabee does extremely efficient needle wheels too... might wanna bring some back but the diff V can be so troublesome... and hard to sell off later. So do consider properly... say if US is cheaper by only 20%, not worth the trouble.

Going to 2 marine shops later. Will check out their pricing.

I know OR is lot cheaper here but the voltage is the stone man.

Icecap is cheaper here. I believe from US & SG website, the price diff is obvious.

Too bad icecap don't have 150W which I'm using. They only got 250W onwards.
