okie I also need help with Plate coral.

I have a orange plate that refuse to open during day time lighting. but at night when i switch off my lights liao then it will open big big. (behaviour abit like suncoral rite)

another green plate in my same tank behave normally.

any idea why?? thanks!

I have not seen mine open big big!!! I've only seen it with lots of tentacles... what's wrong with mine then... maybe they only open in the middle of the night, so I didn't get a chance to see it!

oh ya that happens to me also ... in the day shrink like dunno wat ... then on the lights in the morning and see ... it looks like its about to explode ...

now smth is really wrong leh ... can see its skeleton liao... tenticles are quite short .. about at inch ? y is this so ? didnt feed enough ? pls advice

sorry ar... does the amount of light affect the plate ? cause i have noticed .. when i on all my lights ... the plate shrinks .. to the extend that the centre portions looks dead.... currently running 2 PL .. blue and white.. gonna save for T5 ..

when i off one of them the plate seem to expand alittle ... covering all the base skeleton.. looks pretty healthy. it is currently sitting on very fine sand now, i got them from the beach quite sometime back..
