jervismun
Running 25min is not bad at all... mine runs for an hour, but stop for 2. How often yours kick in? Coz the more often they kicks-in the more electricity they consume. Perhaps you are using an incompatible pump. SRC Member letdoit Posted June 11, 2006 Author SRC Member Share Posted June 11, 2006 Resun CL650 cut in and out fast. running abt 10 min, rest 15 min Teco run 25 to 30 min but rest 30 to 50 min ( depend light on/off) teco rest longer because only 1 canister pump. That all. (from canister pump flow to chiller then to main tank. for Marine tank, there are skimmer pump, chiller pump, and Sump to tank pump. got a bit pressure, bills getting higher
SRC Member shoelevy Posted June 11, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted June 11, 2006 yr cl650 cut in too often already going to suffer alot of wear and tear. not to mention chiller draws alot of power when kicking in either set your temperature lower or increase the flow through the chiller i suggest the 2nd method. try sth like 2000L/hr so far so good for me
cyberpig
How much increase? $190 per month not a lot. I think PUB charge based on estimation so may get double whammy if sudden increase in usage..
mansiz
$190 is considered low already. But still have to depend on whether how big is your house, your family size. My family size is 4, 4-room flat, with resun cl450 and a 250 watt MH, monthly electrical bill is slightly over $200.
acidjazz
i think $190 is an estimation. . example: my monthly bill for a few months is approx $350. . then suddenly last month it was $550. . . so ur $190 electrical bill might not be accurate. best take a few months.. say 3-4 months and take the average.
