I intent to keep some little fishes that my kids like, once out grown put them in my 2ft tank. Not much of a theme to think of any.

Since there are 2 overflows in this 12GO nano cube, I decided to block the bottom overflow so that the water will be forced to overflow to the surface skimmer on the top left.

Simply use an acrylic piece to place at the bottom to block the overflow. The pressure will stick it in place.

Once the bottom overflow is blocked, the water level in the main tank will increase, and the back 3rd and 4th chamber will decrease. So watch out for evaporation to ensure that the water level is not lower than the return pump.

You may notice that the water is rushing into the surface skimmer, and the main tank water is much clearer on top. This will increase the efficiency of the surface skimmer.

See how effective is the snail cleaner - the left side of the back wall has been 'cleaned' by the snail and the right side still yet to.

Have 3 snails and a hermit crab as the cleaning crew.

Learnt my lesson, leave fish till the last until the coral settle down. They are easy to put in difficult to take out.
