back to marine aquarium after 8 years

Hi

I am a newbie to this site and fascinated to see so much marine reefers here.Marine fish keeping was once my hobby when i was 15 yr old.That time i was using a 2ft tank with a biological filtration plate with 2 power pump and a cheap hangover filter and my hardy fish actually survie but when i tried corals all died off in my 2ft tank.Perhaps due to lack of knowledge and equiment that time.So i quit the hobby when i got to NS.After vieiwing this forum, i found that marine fish keeping has improved alot due to the equiment and products.

Anyway I would consider gettin this hobby back again.would like to have a brand new 3ft tank with hood + cabinet.I hope the design would be a sump tank as i do not want my equiment to be shown.i would like to keep marine fish and maybe corals(i don think i am up to it).what is the least equiment and the cost to just keep marine fish plus good lightings.Hope someone could help!!Thanks alotH

hihi skywong, welcome back to the marine world. I hv just finished planning for my 3 ft cube tank n the cost can be up to ard 7-8 k (using german equipment). My current old tank is a 5 footer n even using the cheaper type of equipment, the cost also can come up to ard 6k... if u r keen i can gv u a rundown of the type of equipment lah... will save u alot of sourcing but bit by bit it all adds up (believe me)...
