Clownfish compatibility

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Is it possible to rear 6 or 7 clownfish in a 1.5ft tank? cause i look up the Compatability Chart provided by the liveaquaria.com and it states Caution for rearing clowns with clowns...

Its a fowlr tank and I am hoping to achieve a "clown-fish community" look for my tank...

Will they fight and is it possible to mix different types of clown together?

Thanks!

its nt impossible , but the risk is always there

i've seen3ft tanks with a few diff clownfish living together

but since yr tank is small i wouldnt suggest u keeping a variety

juz stick to 1 kind , before they start turning yr tank into a battlefield

side track abit. i'm planning to keep 2-3 percs in my 2ft X 1.5 x 1.5 too... am wondering what will act as a good subsitute host for them (don't wanna keep anemone). previously I had a nice jewel which they like to play in but the jewel died after my tank crashed..

Try frogspawn or hammer? After I took away my anemone, my percs nowadays hang around my frogspawn.

Suggest that u keep those smaller and less aggressive clowns like ocellaris and skunk? Intro them into ur tank a pair at a time starting with the least aggressive species. Wait a wile before introducing new fishes for the tank to stablise. If u intro too many one shot, think ur tank would most probably crashed?
