iewnuj
Hi, Is it possible to rear 6 or 7 clownfish in a 1.5ft tank? cause i look up the Compatability Chart provided by the liveaquaria.com and it states Caution for rearing clowns with clowns... Its a fowlr tank and I am hoping to achieve a "clown-fish community" look for my tank... Will they fight and is it possible to mix different types of clown together? Thanks! SRC Member w3ish3ng Posted June 6, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted June 6, 2006 they will fight most likely to left 2-3 clowns left. well if you want to get other clowns, dont get maroon, they are the most aggressive clownfish. SRC Member andylee Posted June 6, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted June 6, 2006 u might try mixing clarkii, ocellaris and sebae definitely not maroon or tomato. perculas are little aggressive too Quote Project R.E. k0na_scab
its nt impossible , but the risk is always there i've seen3ft tanks with a few diff clownfish living together but since yr tank is small i wouldnt suggest u keeping a variety juz stick to 1 kind , before they start turning yr tank into a battlefield
SRC Member markietan Posted June 6, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted June 6, 2006 side track abit. i'm planning to keep 2-3 percs in my 2ft X 1.5 x 1.5 too... am wondering what will act as a good subsitute host for them (don't wanna keep anemone). previously I had a nice jewel which they like to play in but the jewel died after my tank crashed.. Try frogspawn or hammer? After I took away my anemone, my percs nowadays hang around my frogspawn.

iewnuj
no prob bro...will try out my idea sometime this week... another thing...should i introduce all the fishes at one short? or should I introduce it 1 by 1? Right now I have only 1 fish currently in my tank..
lightbolt75
Suggest that u keep those smaller and less aggressive clowns like ocellaris and skunk? Intro them into ur tank a pair at a time starting with the least aggressive species. Wait a wile before introducing new fishes for the tank to stablise. If u intro too many one shot, think ur tank would most probably crashed?
