Tunze Comline Filters

I'm planning how to set up a 2 x 1 x 1.5 tank. I've been looking at Tunze comline products, and gosh they are really pricey!

Tunze's comline products are based on the principle of very good and efficeint mechanical filtration. No bio filtration is invovled. I was wondering since the comline is submerged, all the junk thats trapped in the filter, will seep back into the water what. Does that mean I need to remove the filter cartridge and wash it very frequently? Tunze claim that their filter is very easy to clean, maybe thats why lar. Anyone got better insights?

How effective is the tunze comline without any form of bio filtration? Like that means entirely depend on live rock ah?

The last time i saw on ebay was 214USD for reefpack500. is that a good deal?

why not get a hang-on deltec

I think the reefpack will be a good choice for nano tank cos it come with auto top up. See ww.reefdepot.com.sg for prices and models available. They have deltec stuff there too.
