sometimes u can gif it a good rock, like rocking chair to dislodge bubbles trapped inside.sometimes its just bubbles restricting flow.

also some media fluidise easier than others.

like the new sorb4 personally i find it fluidises very easily

What flow are you using for the FR? May be because you do not have enough flowrate.

The new SORB4 media does fluidize easily and I do have very good results from it.
