i did that too!!!

when i wanted to DIY a reeftec/tunze wavemaker!!

:lol:

had the same problem....

think it has something to do with the fact that its

magnetically run

finally gave up and bought the real thing. :D

when fitted in the powerhead. Got a probelm here, the powerhead spins the propeller in the opposite direction and water get sucked in instead! Interchanging the live and neutral dont seems to change the spin direction.

since the pitch of your prop is fixed, mounting the prop reversed has the same effect as changing the motor direction. May work but will not be effective since your prop's leading edge (blunt edge) will now be the trailing edge.

it wont work also! it will continue to suck in water even if I invert the propeller.

haha ... ooopss!! my mistake... *sometimes my imagination fails me* come to think of it, even if you reverse mount your prop, the prop pitch is unchanged... that is why it still sucks water... You are right... you will need a motor turning in the opp. direction for your existing prop to work...or you need a prop with reversed pitch.... thousand apologises for wrong info...
