id recommend you check out Nature aquarium at Balestier. its a freshwater lfs that DIYs T5 fixtures in Atman light casings at a great price. i think its about $80 for a 2 x 24w fixture with tubes. slight discount without tubes, which is good as youd do best to get proper marine aquaria tubes. its a better deal in my opinion than the usual retrofit sets.

what is the thing with student prices? if you cant afford one than save up before buying. using the word "students" is bad. very bad idea.

Why don't you get the solite set from AM or Irwana (Not sure if any other LFS carry them)? The price is pretty decent and the performance is acceptable.
