You'll need your return pump to run the Ocean Current. The outlet will rotate back and fourth about 100 degrees thus your corals will get pulsing flows.

Not too sure if it will work as most flow rate of canister very low. You can try but think best use something at least 1800L/hr. There's no specific flow rate stated but just what I think

Shouldn't be a problem. Have test it with Eheim 1626 also no problem. By adding a ocean current, you will be able to get the flow to all direction. It rotates about 100 degrees swing left to right and right to left.
