How are your clams doing bro? 2 ATI tubes sufficient? How many hours you blast them daily?

clam still fine. opening up really well, considering its only receiving 8 hours of light a day, and its like nearly 2.5 ft away from the 2 tubes.

Boy... you should write your testimony for my ATI review... 2 ATI tubes (1 white 1 blue), 2.5ft distance, 8 hours... and your clam is opening big big?!? Damn... ATI rocks!!! Now when was the last time you hear people claiming MH a must for keeping healthy clams?

haha... well, its all trial and error i guess.

anyway juz fixed up LED moonlights to my tank. looks actually quite nice.

connected the LEDs parallel, using 5VDC adaptor, a little high for the LEDs. hope they wun fuse out that fast.

anyway this is a trial set for my tank. fixed it up temporarily to see how moonlights go.

one of my zoos. really nice green luminious, hardly usually seen...

even my clownfishes and cleaners are attracted to the lights...

connected using 3 sets of 5 LEDs, spaced across the tank.

juz as i did the final test before mounting the lights back onto the tank, the middle LED blew out. tot its loose connection, but now think that its blown. so upsetting. but nvm la. trial only. see how long can the LEDs last at 5V...

juz woke up. and found that 6 more LEDs blew. now left with 7 LEDs. haiz. wonder why. anyone could help?

Emm... I'm sure you'll find out the root cause... as for me... I think I shall not attempt this on my own...

too high voltage for the bulb? its say that over 4v for the bulb will caused them to blew off

LEDs are pretty cheap la. but juz wondering why they are blowing off one by one. think i really need to get the step down adaptor from hall. haha.. nvm. gonna go get more LEDs soon. and make a proper one. but effect is pretty nice i must say.

bro .. did u put in resistors into your circuit ? 5V will destroy every led you put in leh ... i have a link tat helps ... will send to u on msn ...

the nxt few moonlights i do gonna put in resistors. haha..

the high current is gonna burn the LEDs man..

all should be fine once the resistors are added... u must calculate how many ohms thou.. i think there are some links that help..

thanx bro jacobus for the offer, but i have this adaptor in hall which can alternate between 1.5-12 volts. will be using that the nxt time i do it.
