I think its not poor water conditions but more of inappropriate water conditions.. just maybe something in water thats causing that..

or just sick when you first bought it. Its common. We do not really know how to see if the starfish is sick. I've encountered buying one starfish, put inside my sump. 2 days later just spits out all its guts :sick: .. I have other starfishes living very well in my main tank.. of course until the harlequin shrimps find them.. :P

or maybe a hidden harlequin shrimp.. hehe

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?

may not be hermit crab lah...

i got 4 starfish.

one of them suffering this "break legs break hand" disease...

the rest of the starfish okay..

Just an update since this thread is still alive :lol:

My 3-legged Star already grown back it's missing legs... currently the 2 tiny legs are around 1/10 of its original length.

You can go to my tank thread to see the little "horns"... posted yesterday.

After giving away my Hermit Crab and Big Mama (3.5" Maroon Clown)... no more broken fins spotted in my tank... I believe either 1 of them (if not both)
