SRC Member Qxnviolet Posted May 14, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted May 14, 2006 Hrmz, imo...no matter how "cycled" your LRs are, a mini cycle will still start during the transfer. The LRs, sand can go immediately into the new tank with NSW but for LS and corals, i'll suggest waiting for abit and make sure your water parameters are ok before transferring them over. Btw, why not make a jump and upgrade to a 5 footer instead. 3 to 4 like not much diff. Just my own opinion... Hi bro Not to encourage you or be contrary of what bro QX said... When I upgraded to my 3ft, I transfered almost everything in a day. The LR and the LS that is. I bought new sand, so I added the sand a week earlier, let the tank ran for a week (without chiller and blah, coz still connected to my Nano). Once the water condition is quite similar to my Nano, I just moved everything over within hours. I took a big risk then... but luckily no casualty Quote Tank 60x40x40 Optiwhite Glass Tank Sump Elos 500 w/ Tunze Overflow Protein Skimmer Skimz Kone SK1 Return Pump Hydor Seltz L30 Wavemaker Hydor K1 Illumination 150W + 2 T5 Chiller Arctica 1/5hp w/ Aquabee 1000 Water Top-up Tunze Osmolator Dosing Pumps Grotech 3-Channels Calcium Reactor Deltec PF 501 Computer Aquatronica
