hi guys,i'm planning on getting 1 for my 2ft tank.any1 knows what type i should get and roughly how much it cost?as for the installation,where should i install it?i'm using a canister filter n goin to get a chiller soon.

you can install at the outlet of your canister filter. Cheap UV cost ard $30 plus.

erm...after looking at the picture,i'm confused .the striliser has 3 holes? do u need to use a separate pump for it?will any pump do?can u giv me a rough idea of the layout hammy?

only two holes for input and output.

yes .. the sterilizer got only 2 hole. : input and output .

as for mi , the water is pump from the main tank to the

inlet of the chiller via gravity

outlet of chiller to inlet of sterilizer

outlet of steriler to suction of pump

output of pump back to main tank.

any pump will work but u must make sure whether u can have the pump run external, hope this helps

then make sure u have a strong canister of at least 1000l/h.

it will be effective in the steriliser as flow is generally okie but even a chiller of 1/10 hp need a flowrate of 900l/hr for it to perform in optimun level or else u wil see your chiller kick in and out very fast as head loss is high after going through so msny stuff.

for a 9 wtt UV, recommended flow is btw 350l - 800l.

best is at 500l. it is not recommended to 'share' pump

with chiller, as chiller needs strong flow. unless u T-off

from the output off the chiller to UV and control the flow.

if u use strong flow for the UV, it will not be effective.IMO

i am using jebo 13W and using ehiem ecco 2232 canister, is it too slow for it ?

what will happen?

hi guys,i'm using a Dymax "Pro" canister filter.It's flowrate is around 1200l/hr. so is it ok?Is it true that the steriliser kills all good and bad bacteria as well?
