Other than turbo snails, what other snails help 2 clear diatoms/algae?

Can snails of different species B mixed in a tank?

i got 2 trochus from day... add in yesterday nite and this morning my glass surface is almost all cleared from diatoms....

As far as I know, nothing eats diatoms.

Astreas, Nassarius, cerith snails are all very good at clearing algae. Trochus are also very good workers, but their disadvantage is their big size as they tend to topple rockworks.

Beats me! Coralline algae comprise 95% limestone and only 5% living plant tissue. It's like chewing thru durian husks just to get at the pulp!
