im relatively new to this fantasic hobby.. i think soem of u have seen me posting just a mth back asking for help.. hmm... my tank almost 3-4 weeks old.... cycling should be completed by this week and,,, guess what,,, received a fatal call from home this morning... my tank leaking..!!!!! immediately rush home after niteshift.. and ..heng!!! not tank leak,,but i think my powerhead for my skinner is too strong.. and somehow,,it overflow,,, causing the water to drip onto the chiller i placed below.. the chiller got shocked and short circuit... causing a cao da smell and my electricity short circuit. haiz!!!!!! guess i nvr look at the powerhead close enugh... My weipro skimmer 2014 shld use 600 plus but i used one 1200 hfz.... haiz... no wonder.. but i set it running for one week le,, nothing happen.. My dream gone. My chiller is down le... and if i wan to restart again, i need to reconnect all the pipings n hose.. haiz..... feel like giving up,,but,.... wo bu gan xin...haiz.... anione got chiller to give?

haha... dun give up lah . if one time overflowing will cause u to give up , i advice u to think hard as there might be lotsa more thing worst to come in reefing . but at the same time enjoying the beauty of coral reef.

I guess leak scare is something each one of us experience. Welcome to the club.

The morale of the story is that if you worry abt something, chances is that it will happen. So do get it right the first time. If you have too much wires, it will trip. Too much water hose and joints, it will leak.

Orgainse all these, and you are okay.
