No, else seahorse will not be in the endangered species soon and all of us here will not be scratching our head in culturing the exact food for the ponies. There are not many successful story in breeding. So be mentally prepared that even your pony may eat for the first few days, die off rate will be on day 4 or 5 as the egg yolk in the pony itself would have completely depleted by then, that's where actual food comes into the play. It's a learning experience but at the expense of hundreds of ponies lifes :(:( .

Heard it from a seahorse guru and two fish farms owners. Should be late this year or within the first half of next year...

That's why the guru is trying to raise as many ponies as he can... :)

I have checked with AVA regarding the ban. It shd be effective Apr/May 2004. But it does not meant you won't see seahorses anymore, just that LFS needs CITES certificate to sell SH, so probably the pricing will go up. Correct me if I am wrong.

Well as with any other marine CITES controlled items, you will still see them for sale without CITES cert anyway, when there is demand there is supply...

Anyway, it is good that SH trading is finally under control. I hate to see so many SH wasted and died in LFS.

Yep...I agree...for CITES to be effective it must depend on the consumer's preference.

Always something more important than fish.
