noisy overflow pipe

hey does any1 noes hw to solve a noise overflow pipe?

i noe u can put a dorso if u have a overflow box but wat abt an over flow pipe?

any help?

well its like a hole a the bottom n a pipe that goes tru the hole. water overflos into the pipe

My bulkhead is 1"

Fitings you need to build

1. 1" pvc pipe

2. 2" reducer to 1"

3. 1' endcap

File the reducer so it can slide thru the 1" pvc pipe but must be very tight

drill holes on the 1" pvc pipe

slide the reducer to cover the holes

cover the 1" pipe with endcap and drill 1 hole above the end cap.

Actually u can try to raise the water level at the water flow to higher by adjusting ur flow, I did it this way to reduce the flushing sound!!!

yea i can do tt by adjusting the vale but wont that mean the water that flows back to the sump is slower? or should i get a stronger pump n flood the pipe?

now i just placed a bioball over the pipe and already less noise but this is temperory

you mean when water is flowing into the pipe down right? Yeah.. put lots of bio balls in my case and it totally helps.

I put bio balls also, on top of it filter wool so that the bio balls don't the unwanted stuff so fast and filter wool are easier to remove. Only thing about Bio balls you to clean it bi weekly or monthly cause it trap alot stuff.

Yeah.. thats what I do too.. put few layers of sponge on top of the bio balls for easier maintainence..
