dun panic...

observe them for a few more days, sometimes could be air bubbles trapped on their bodies or also dirt... if anyone of them start scratching themselves, then you can PANIC.

think bout it. did you introduce any corals or swimming LS into your tank in the last week? you added any water from any of the LFS inside the tank? it sounds like not an intro of ich infested fish, but more like water, if its really true that all your fishes got ich. there is tis dormant period of a week before the white spots come, and the spots will go away, for a few more days, before they come again, and this time its here to stay, and, kill...

You have the tank for 1 yr. If no new LS added recently, then when was the last time u changed water? Deterioration in water parameters stresses fish and ich will qucikly take advantage of their weakened state and start to their assault. Especially if you have many LS in tank. Good luck bro.

Hi andy1974,

Your fish gana the ich problem?? Did you recently any new fish into your tank? Anyway, now is a bit too late to find out the cause of the ich-carrier already.

IMO, DO NOT go and buy those cleaner wrasse, where they are supposed to be able to eat the ich. I read it somewhere, in google, that these fishes will also become victims and become ich-host oso.

Are the tangs/fishes still feeding? If they are, u may be in luck. Try to feed them food dipped in garlic addictives. It will aid them in their immune system to fight of the ich parasite. Monitor them for a few days. Adopt more serious solutions if they are not getting better. (ie scratch body more often or more white spots on body)

Do you have any invertebrates/corals in your tank? If not, u may add in copper-based treatment medicine that treats ich. BUT, if you do so, ur LR will be contaminated. Will pose problems to u if you intend to rear invertebrates in the future.

My fishes had encounted ich problem before and I used hyposalinity treatment on them and manage to save a few fishes. If possible, try to net the affected fish out and gradually reduce the salinity level by a few water changes over a period of few hours/day. More detailed explanation can be read here. http://www.petsforum.com/personal/trevor-j...posalinity.html

You may want to read more on ich problems from the internet. Here's another link

Sorry for being too long winded. Hope it helps you! Good luck in your fight against ich. :peace:
