anyone know why my coralline change colour from Pink/purple to orange>>

:blink::blink::blink:

sorry to tell you bro..

turn from pink/purple to orange mean die off.... or in the process off dying

cos i lost about 4/9 of my water during one incident when i was sleeping and the part of the coraline alage on the liverock that was exposed for about 2-3 hours changed colour, the rest was ok.. :(

yup

Hrmz, thats something new....in my old tank, the coralline didn't change colour....they just became more and more pale in colour and finally the whole rock turned white. :unsure:

yah that also happens if the parameters are not good... same case for my fowlr tank...

coraline algae will turn whitish... true :cry:

Hi ReeF_LoVeR,

I agree with fongster. :nc: I have encounted similar situations where my purple coralline turned pink, then orange and then stay orange for some time before dying off. That happened when I was restructuring my reef landscape and left some LR in the open (means on a small tub outside the tank lah).

I supposed that those coralline that changed from purple->pink->orange most probably indicate they experienced some kind of shocked. Did you do anything to your tank recently?
