are u asking whether the blue tang have ich due to stress ?

from the enlarged pic , it seem to have white spot which is ich and blue tang is a particular fish which is very susceptible to it .

if u are asking whether the tang is stressed and that's why it is lying on the side of the betta box: not really as blue tang like to do that . some will even lie flat like sleeping like that .

ich is easily regconise , white spot on the fish, no need to see the fish rubbing to comfirm :)

Hrmz, white spots will come and go...especially if your fish is stressed and weak. healthy fishes are more resistant to white spots, some reefers feed them with garlic soaked food which might improve your fishes' resistance. If you wanna be sure, quarantine all new fishes for a few weeks and leave any itch infected tank fishless for around 6 to 8 weeks. :)

My tank just got hit by Ich...at first just use garlic and lettuce...didn't work my yellow tang went up lorry :cry2:

Some website said that freshwater bath doesn't work...but I still tried and together with hyposalinity(hope I've spelled it correctly :paiseh: ) and myxazin (recommened by Reborn) ...both Blue Tang, clark and false clown are recovering very well in Q.Tank. However, didn't work for goby and the other clown...looks like they will K.O. today :cry2:

I was told that the medicine can be used in reef tank but dare not try...later my corals go up lorry I'll cry till my eyes pop out :cry2:

Would like to thank bro weilong for the article on Hyposalinity...saved my fish lives.

Erm, its generally recommanded to leave your main tank fishless for up to 8 weeks to ensure the tank is free from the itch parasites. Some of my fishes like the boxfish constantly has abit of white spots but if its eating well and not showing signs of obvious discomfort, i'll just leave them in the tank. Try enriching your fish food with garlic and vitamins, will help build up your LS's resistance. :)
