Oh. I see alot of reefers indicated the useful span of a light tube for marine is 6mths.

If only ROWLR, can normal tube works? <_< <_< <_<

I'm using T5 21W (Focus Lighting mini fluorescent lamp - ultra slim) Colour Temperature 6400K Cool day light.

Can that work? :erm:

And how long can we use the tube... if not need to recycle for home lighting loh :shock:

Yes you can cos fish don't need lights unless you intend to keep some coral then proper lihgting will be needed.

Whats the issue now? You don't know how to change the tube? Or don't know what colours and spectrum of T5 tube to buy? Or what?

Changing of tubes should be pretty easy.. there should be only one way to take it out and put it in..

Spectrum of T5 lights should really depend on you.. read up throughout this forum on the types of T5. BTW hope your T5 is the HO ones..

Bro your current lighting T5 21W if I'm not wrong are Normal Output not really suitable for keeping corals. You have to change to T5 High Output e-ballast and tubes which have better intensity.

So if my tank (actual length excluding the 2 side Chamber is 111cm; should I take 4ft T5 or 3ft T5 (4x) :ooh:

Hrmz, for a tank of your size..i guess the 3 Ft 1 would do nicely...easpecially with your space constraints. Im using a 3Ft for my 1027mm (L) tank. You getting your lights and skimmer tmr?
