PH level at nite

The PH level will drop once the lights are off at nite. Want to learn from expert bros out there how do you guys maintain the PH level at nite assuming no CR is used. Do u keep a smaller light switched on above the sump set to alternate with the main tank lights? Or do u dose small amt of KH buffer at nite? All advise are welcome. Thanks in advance.

depend how low is low if the lowest is 7.8, i think you shouldn't have to worry. those tank runs with CR, their ph usually get as low as 7.7 and it is ok. if you are worry, you can dose kalk water. but it will only keeps the ph up for few hours only. after that, it will drop again

i find that those who run with good skimmer, their ph (those who run with CR) usually stay around 8.0 after lights off

i am using CR and my ph range between 8.05 (lights off) - 8.45 (all light on) for my tank
