It is recommended that you do smaller monthly changes instead doing a large amt every 3 months. It helps to maintain the chemistry and composition of the water content.

I use Aquaz Carbon with rowaphos - I use a small amt and incremently added on every month. Once in a while during the period, I will stir the bag alittle to get it to change surfaces for better flow.

im abit confuse here  coz i heard alotz of reefer change their carbon mtly, but e instruction say change every 6mths leh. n olso itiz okie 2 overdose carbon? as for rowa change mtly vry siong leh, ex!(itiz necessary) :thanks::thanks::thanks::thanks:

erm.. dun think its advisable to leave your carbon for 6 months.. it willl get to the point where carbon maxed out its ability and then start to leech back into your tank..

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?

"Its easier to blame the 'mantis' or crabs in the tank for missing & dead livestocks.."

just wondering maybe if the experienced reefers could shed more light on your tank size, feeding rate ###### bioload or even DI/ RODI usage (if any) to give a better feel of rate of utilization of these media. esp those who measure the PO4 level regularly.

then maybe some rough comparative estimation could be extrapolated.

my 1cent only.

thks to all who is sharing info.

cheers. :D
