any Plecostmus lovers here?

I used to have a bristle nose pleco, did a good job of clearing up algae in the tank, then somehow it dissapeared after about 2 yrs... sobs..

Before I started marine more than 5 years ago, I have a collection of over 15 plecos in my 4 ft tank with tetra.

Later, they were put into a Koi pond and some disappeared. But the royal and red spine that grew to about 2 ft long before ganna stolen.

Only remember at one time I had 3 zebras, snowball and blue spots. Really miss them.

2 months back saw a albino snowball at C328 selling for $550. Really rare.

C328 and Gan aquarium are good hunting place for pleco.

Anymore L47 around recently? Was never able to find them when I was into Plecos last time.

L47 now also hit 300 and above liao... anyway.. royal which is 2ft big is really nice!!! guess u must have kept along time? but ho.. 2 ft like abit hard to steal... maybe tat person aim ur pleco very long liao... can fetch good price wit tat SIZE!!!

Never liked the look of bristlenose...always looked kinda creepy. I kept snowball pleco, P.vittata and one other one (pic below, never really got to looking up the scientific name). Albino snowball?! Wonder how it must look like..all white?

Anyway, these guys seem to behave quite well in a planted tank. Did'nt create nightmares for me, which I feared initially. Only regret I have is not keeping zebra plecos before, was too expensive for me back then! I think a juvenile for over $100.

Albino Snowball is like our skin colour all through with white spots. It was very small, only 3" so the spots quite small.

C328 is clementi florist. Their pleco selection not bad. Kept with aros.

Gan aquarium is in neo teow road (on the way to LCK). Specialise in selling tetra, autumn angels and plecos.

I last time saw a 1 ft plus royal selling at over 200. Imagine if I sell both my 2ft pleco will easily get over 500! But this size also difficult to sell. I also had a Red-tail cat fish that grew to almost a metre in that point. But after it ate up 2 kois, I had to let it go back to nature.

Btw, I also find bristlenose very scary looking. Zebra are very nice but cannot get it to grow beyong 8cm.

Wow did'nt know royal pleco so expensive. Where you release the red-tail catfish? Must make sure I go fishing there.

haha... talking about fishing red tail catfish... once i caught one about 2 kg big in a rather small pond... shall not mention where is the pond*

yea lo.. royal now no cheap already.... pleco lovers , if got the space sure will buy ur 2ft pleco cause they are darn pretty @ tat size!!!!
