no need target feed la~

in the natural environment, they also dun have ppl to target feed them. ( just like sun corals; but for the fun of it, we target feed sun corals once a week)

Just place the fan along the current flow. The current will bring food to them. as the term says, they're filter feeders. I never target feed my blue sakura and it has already grown bigger since I bought them.

Oh ya, true that these seafans prefer Zooplanktons over phytoz...

But as honda pointed out, supplementing phytos will help in blooming the population of zooplanktons, indirectly benefitting the fans. thats true for my case.

wait a while, after all the suns i've been collecting, i firmly believe if the sun is alive, as long as you are confident of your water parameters, they will open up, just a matter of time only
