Is the royal gamma a shy fish like the firefish and purple-firefish?? Will it hide in its cave dwelling often?

I am asking these questions b'cos I have a purple tang, n is quite agressive in nature. Just to make sure if the royal gamma can survive with this tank mate, especially when it comes to snatching food?...
