i have 2 cleaner shrimps in my tank , n they both constantly carry clutches of eggs. dis shd be the 5th or more time.

dun ask me how or why. (i also dunno heh. (",)

wouldnt the shrimp make a tastier meal then the eggs ? (wld u go for the chicken or the egg ?)

From the list of fish on your signature, none of them would go after your ehrm $7+++ meal ? :fear:

I would agree with the shop that sold the shrimps to you. (i dunt tink it will be much of a prob IME)

Shrimps are very sensitive to water perimeters, a sudden change in temp , specific gravity WOULD make a difference.

Request that the packing water is from the same holding tank that the shrimps are.

i threw some ###### shrimps into my sump (of another tank) while i was redoing the rockscape.

guess wad , all of them died the next day ...

I WILL GO FOR BOTH! xD :P:P:P

Well, I agree that buying cleaner shrimps that is pregnant and carrying eggs is NOT a problem. I believe the shrimp died in your care. Is ur water parameters OK?

Did u just dump the pregnant shrimp into the water without proper acclimatisation?

Invertebrates are very sensitive to water parameters, and proper drip acclimisation of above 2 hrs is recommended. (note: floating water bag above the tank is NOT completely considered acclimatization).

yeah right... says who? must be some ignorant person.. the fishes will only eat the newly hatched shrimps..

Why do we use "My 2 cents worth" when 1 cents are not legal tender in Singapore anymore? Shouldn't it be 5 cents worth?

Hrmz, thats the 1st time i heard of something like that. Shrimps dying proberbly has something to do with your acclimasation techniques or your water parameters. I bought a shrimp loaded with eggs once and didn't accord it any special care. Its still well and alive till now... :)
