White spots = ICH~!!! (at a certain stage of its life-cycle).

Unless they're fine sand particles.

Tangs are the most prone to contracting ich. Good luck to you.

In a couple of days time, u will find that there're no more white spots. But actually they're just detached off the fish, and will return in an ever large number...

Hrmz, water change might help abit but as a long term solution, might be good if you can find a way to leave your tank fishless for 6 to 8 weeks to be sure. My fishes are suffering from itch too and for the time being, i'll just leave them in the tank and see how things go. Been feeding them with garlic soaked food and hrmz, cant say if it really works yet. An UV light would help abit too. Gd luck. :)

Question .. did you just buy new fish ??

was there any new addition within the last week or so ??

If there's none .. then something in your water is causing the stress spots

correct that something before you decide it's Ich..

about 2 months ago .. I stopped changing water for a Remote DSB I was testing .. NO3 shot up 100ppm within 1 week .. all fish kenna whitish spots .. lost 1 brown 3 anthias .. but when the water stabilised .. everything went back normal .. had not had any white spots for the last 1.5 months
