Gold is a metal so is a good heat conductor; gold is "very" inert so it is highly unlikely to react with the saltwater to for gold oxide.

So far tested 2 x 1 x 1 ft lowest cooling 27oC....

BTW peltier runs 24 x 7 = Lifespan 20,000 hours...

You are wrong, without installing a themostat and you are running your TEM Chiller 24/7 of cos electric bill goes high...
