Chiller prob

I was having a problem with my cliller it s not cooling my tank. Mr Derek came done a good HONEST job for that i really thank him . I was impressed by his explanation and guidence he also adjusted my protien skimmer for it to skim.

Mr Derek also serviced my set thats what i call profesional.

according to Dereck , it is the fan problem and quoted me $80.00. i think it is ex.

hehe yup my friend also had a similar problem with a resun cl-300 not cooling the tank, apparently it was the fan that was not working, cos the fan was not working it was causing the compressor to overheat so it shuts down due to some internal control, b4 it starts to work.

After changing the fan the chiller started to work, serious !!

One way the serviceman recommended was get a normal roomfan... or any fan to blow at the compressor, if the chiller starts to work then good !! it shows that the fan is the only faulty area, just replace, ya the fan replacement was also $80 no joke

issit your chiller seems to kick in then shuts down less than 1 min later...?

all the best .. in the meantime u might wanna borrow a fan or something to cool your tank if there are any corals inside, or dun on your lights... tank may crash if overheated
